Logo Design Brief
***UPDATE #3 - There have been some great submissions, but I still don't have exactly what I need. Please make sure to keep the designs more simple and sophisticated. The logo has to go on horizontal yard signs, pins, hats, t-shirts, etc. It should be more about my name than the office I am running for. You actually DO NOT need to include the office since the logo will look cleaner, but it must include my name and 2018. I would need to add my office later under the logo with the same font you decide to use. Remember: simple and clean. Thanks so much.***
***UPDATE #2 - I met with my campaign team on Friday, April 6 to review the designs. There were a few that everyone liked, but they all wanted my first name “Dahlia” to be more prominent than my middle and last name. The only problem is, you cannot use the initial “D” as part of the logo because people might equate that with “Democrat.” I’m a Republican. I’m extending the contest. Thank you for your participation and patience.***
Hello. I am running for political office and I need to have a patriotic logo featuring my name. I am running to be the Colorado Republican House Representative for District 41 in Arapahoe County in Colorado. My name and the election year must be part of the design. (Dahlia Jean Weinstein and 2018.) "Candidate for Colorado House of Representatives District 41" needs to be part of the logo, but not necessarily prominent. I'd like a red, white and blue color theme and perhaps the Colorado flag's logo or a mountain design could be incorporated. I think I need more of a "campaign sign" than a logo, but I want something clever that can translate to business cards, letterhead, campaign signs, pins, etc. I attached a few sample photos for inspiration, but you do not need to use them. Thank you.

Requirements
Must have
- My name and the campaign year, 2018. “Dahlia” should be prominent. Red, white and blue. (Yellow only if you incorporate the Colorado flag.) "Candidate for Colorado House of Representatives District 41" can be visible, but not prominent.
Nice to have
- Some clever incorporation of my first name “Dahlia.” Colorado flag and/or mountain design if it doesn't look too busy.
Should not have
- A prominent “D” as part of the logo, or it will be misinterpreted as Democrat.
