Logo Design Brief

Need a versatile logo for the annual fundraiser for K-12 Private School. The evening cocktail/dinner/auction event will be a Polynesian theme with decor, florals, music,etc. (not luau). Logo uses include invitation, ticket sale advertisement, signage, print, etc. Logo should be a stand-alone graphic or with text. Open to all ideas, but attaching a sample of a "vintage" look. Evening is "cocktail attire" so needs some elegance - birds of paradise, green palms as opposed to casual luau theme.
