Logo Design Brief

My website, www.janglo.net, is Israel's largest English-language community marketplace (comparable in some ways to Craigslist, etc.) Our main categories are jobs, apartments, business directory, news, events, items for sale... We are on the cutting edge of local trends, consumer news, hot deals, etc.

I'd like to create a new logo. The main things I'd like it to convey are Zionism (love of Israel) and success/ getting things done/ efficiency. And it should be cool and trendy. If you think its appropriate, a heart design can also be incorporated,

Please think creatively how to convey these two concepts- Israel and success/ getting things done. One of my favorite logos to draw inspiration from is this one (for a video site, not a community site). https://www.israelvideonetwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/isreal-video-network-logo-footer.png. I think that does a great job of conveying Israel and video together.

My web site colors are blue and orange (#1D5B93 and #F18700, to be exact), and I'd like a logo with a great icon to the left, and the name Janglo to the right. You can use other colors also.

Tone of the font should be strong (JANGLO in caps with a manly, clean blue font is what I picture) the icon should be cool, happy, and friendly.

The logo background will be white, and should look great when shown in the upper -left of my website www.janglo.net, where the current logo appears now. Assume that the rest of the website will remain looking mostly the same as now.

We're designing the star from little dots (points of light?), with a strong orange check-mark (looking like it is writte with marker) along the right, making up some of the lines. The check extends upward past the line of the star. The motif of success/efficiency should be clear to the viewer immediately.

A few things I'm not sure of:
Should the dots be only blue, or multiple colors? (I went with lighter blue and green in one version)
I think there should be something on the lower right corner of the star to fill out the image, but I'm not exactly sure what it should be.

The logo should be very memorable, beautiful, and inspiring. The dots should clearly form a Jewish star, but add whatever flairs you think will work best, and please be creative!
