Logo Design Brief
We are a preschool in the Houston area that is re-branding in the fall. We are currently named My Country Clubhouse, and we will be changing our name to The Mays School.
The preschool uses the Reggio Emilia Approach for its curriculum. The philosophy originates in Italy, which could be an attractive element to be referenced in the logo. Please see http://www.aneverydaystory.com/beginners-guide-to-reggio-emilia/main-principles/ for more information on the Reggio Emilia Approach. In short, our school encourages creativity and artistic expression in children.
We also have an owl as a mascot (see uploaded files for the current logo). We would like that owl or a similar owl to be somehow incorporated into the new logo.
Our school color is navy blue, but the logo does not necessarily need include this. We would like the logo to be clean and attractive in color and grayscale.
We believe we are competing in value with some of the most established preschools in Houston, and so we would like a logo that will grow with us as we expand our client base and physical footprint. Words like "sophisticated" and "intelligent" could be used to describe logos from competing preschools.
