Graphic Design Brief

My parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year. I wanted to give them a very memorable gift. On my parents 2nd anniversary, my father was stationed in Vietnam. On that night he was in the jungle waiting till morning and wrote a poem to my mother using his pant leg as paper. I would like this poem to typographically designed to be framed and hung on the wall.

I have attached a picture of the poem below. It will need to be 11x14 when printed for framing. It would be great if there was background or artwork to make it more visually interesting, perhaps in a watercolor. My parents have a transitional style. I have attached some possible color schemes as well. Cool greens, blue, neutral grays, with hints of berries or highlights of yellow. These are just a guide, I would be open to your interpretations.

Thank you for your help. This will hopefully be a gift they will truly treasure as much as the poem itself.

Requirements

Must have

• The poem, typographically designed. There can be a mix of fonts, but legibility is critically important.
• Now that some designs have come through I wanted to give some more guidance of what I'm looking for. I want something that feels sophisticated and artistic.

Nice to have

• A background or art work, using the color schemes attached as a guide. I am really liking the designs that have a full color landscape artwork in the background. The fonts should be elegant and formal. I really like the romantic, muted colors. I had trouble finding similar projects online in the style I wanted until I cam across wedding invites. Those seem to be the most applicable. I've added pictures of some so you can get a sense of what I'm looking for. I am really liking the jungle foliage, starry skies or sunrises.

Should not have

• Cartoon caricatures, fonts that are too illegible when printed. I'm not liking anything whimsical. I don't like the very bright colors for this project.
