Logo Design Brief

We need the graphics done for a label design for a new line of clothing. The name of the business, and the trade mark, is 'sunuki'. The clothing line is a shirt/jacket that provides sun protection while driving. The designs are 1950s/60s retro and reflect racing jacket designs of the time. The graphics will appear on packaging etc. and may be either (or both) screen printed onto the clothing fabric or appear on a fabric label. We would like something that is strong, simple, possibly combing a simple image along with the text, so they could appear separately if needed (like the Lorna Jane symbol of three 'speeding' squares). The idea of protection from the sun could be conveyed, but it is not necessary to have something so literal. Cool colour/s would be good.
