Logo Design Brief

I already have a professional Squire Properties logo design that works - BUT it is proving to be too "corporate" !

My main business nowadays is attracting distressed home sellers who need a Property Co with a friendly, personal, flexible approach - to come up with "win win" solutions to their financial pressures which will usually involve speedy cash support and a 100% guaranteed home sale ASAP. Often with Squire Properties then organising the family's move into an afforable rented home after the sale.

You can either do a unique and memorable lettering style (for Squre Properties) - with no separate logo graphic attached OR include a separate graphic to visually I.D. the overall logo design.

I would quite like to include a graphic of a "happy house" so long as it doesn't look like a cartoon. This image would be visually suggesting a SOLUTION to the home owners problems. The house would have to look like an English house and not a house from another part of the world as I operate only in the UK. This house can have big eyes and be smiling - that is to say if this seems to work? If not do something else>

My overall image must make my Co look FRIENDLY & EASILY APPROACHABLE - but still of course professional.

I operate as a small family business so if you make my Co look too big - it will not match the personal service that I offer.

I already have a portfolio of houses that I rent out as the basic foundation of the Squire Properties business.

The logo must work well in black & white as well as in colour.

The "Squire" part of the business name is also the main brand name of the business - and so it is sometimes used in other activities. Therfore the lettering style needs to ensure that the "Squire" part of the Squire Properties name is the main logo focus.

I definitely prefer the "Squire" part of the name to be in upper and lower case - i.e. with the S as a capital letter..

I do use "taglines" under my logo but these are varied depending on my exact proposition at the time - SO - all I need is a new logo design for my Squire Properties business, probably with an associated "friendly graphic".

I AM OPEN MINDED TO ALL IDEAS

Thank you for your submissions so far. By the way - the BRIEF NAME is missing the last few words which should read : . . . to avoid repossession / foreclosure.

The main ingredient that I am missing from nearly all of you is a graphic on the left hand side of the name Squire Properties - which shows a UK style house in some kind of artistic image style BUT with the impression that the house is smiling - i.e. partially humanised. I know this is not easy to do and I know that if it looks like a cartoon it will not look right as a logo graphic - but it CAN be done tastefully I am sure.

I would like you all to look at my existing logo (previously attached) and simply do TWO things to improve my existing design :-

(a) Play with the typefaces to give me other choices AND

(b) Invent a new graphic to sit on the left - that makes my company look more friendly . .  .

My new business activity is SAVING people from foreclosure of their homes so a smiling home will instantly send my potential vendors a positive message. I was also planning to use the smiling house on its own sometimes as a visual reminder of my (friendly & helpful) service.

I do hope this helps you. I have other projects to give out once I find a designer that I can work with. Good luck. I will study your next submissions with great care.
