Winners design while nice, is not even a vector logo so without the background it's just another warped text design. I don't get that??.

Several revisions were done after the posted design, so this image does not reflect the end result. Even if it did, I still find your comment unprofessional. We're very happy with the design because it pops the title, it's not overwrought, it doesn't incorporate cliche images, and it looks great in all print sizes.

I am sorry that you feel that way, as all of the designers here are extremely professional and a majority of us own our own businesses, so when we see a design that does not follow the code of conduct in regards to logo design for this particular site.....it is our responsibility as such to report these issues. If we don't all hold ourselves accountable for our quality of work, then having freelance sites such as this would be a waste of time for both the designer and the client.

I am pretty sure that you can respect that particular degree of professionalism. Having been in this business for over 25 years it doesn't take a trained eye to know good work from shoddy work.
