Logo Design Brief

Need a logo design for a small gift and homeware startup retail shop (or may just be an online shop at first) I'm after something cutesy but not so cute that people think it's a kids store. Possible colours for the logo are bright pink or yellow with a black outline drawing. In my head i see a girls face, like Pippi Longstockings, with a spray of freckles across her nose and cheeks but the freckles are multicoloured, like Sprinkles.
Or perhaps just the words Freckle Face with a coloured spray of freckles between the two words.
Another possible idea i see working is a white background with a broad horizontal stripe of bright colour and the previously mentioned logo idea (the face) placed on top of the stripe in the middle and the wording above or below in black.
I am open to ideas as long as they match my brief.
I like the classic feel of black and white but with a pop of colour.

Targeting females aged 18-65 looking to buy a gift for someone of that just like wandering round the shop looking at all the cool stuff until they spot something they absolutely must have
