Logo Design Brief

I'm setting up a new marketing and digital recruitment business called Next Chapter and initially looking for the logo design to steer general branding too. As the audience are marketing and creative professionals, it needs to be good! Clean, fresh and one that wont date quickly so I'd like to avoid anything clunky looking or obvious ie a book. The business is based on a true passion for and knowledge of that market, having spent 15 years working in it, and it's about genuinely going the extra mile to understand both a candidates and clients requirement. Its not high volume, bums on seat recruitment, it's a personal, human and positive experience and working in partnership with individuals to support their career. It’s a collective of the best people in industry across all sectors, with the breadth and depth to understand and respond to all requirements. It’s a modern, vibrant, savvy group of people.
The style is conversational, informal and approachable. Speaking to Next Chapter should feel like sitting down to coffee with a reassuring expert, who knows and understands you because they have walked in your shoes. It’s not a still experience, its playful and interesting, with light and shade used appropriately.

Requirements

Must have

• I'd like the font to look bespoke rather than something I've done! Prefer Sans serif but wont let me tick the box below.

Should not have

• Overly cursive font or anything too clunky.
• In terms of colour I'd like to avoid blue as it's too commonly used in recruitment, but would be interested in something fairly fresh feeling. Bright pink is used by a competitor as is bright green. I want the website to be uncluttered and driven by the colour palette rather than the overuse of imagery - not sure if that helps re logo or not.
