Web Design Brief
The requirement is for a PSD website template for a personal web page for a professor and well-renowned researcher in industrial psychology: Professor Ian Rothmann. Prof Rothmann does research in positive psychology and the theme of the website should be about “From deficiency to prosperity”. Prof Rothmann would like the template to include greens and yellows and avoid using too much blue. Prof Rothmann also wants a formal yet bold and beautiful design. Prof Rothmann wants the feelings positive psychology, happiness, prosperity and flourishing to be represented by the web design.
The menu should accommodate the following pages: 1) Home 2) My Work 3) News 4) Community Engagement 5) Resources 6) Contact me 7) Links
We need a template for two pages:
1) The index page – The index page should contain a photo of him (will be uploaded under project files ianrothmann.jpg) and three paragraphs of text under the heading “About myself”. There should also be three sections: Recent work and Recent news. In each of these sections there should be space for a date and a title (which will link to some inner pages).
2) The inner pages – The inner pages should have space for content and a sub-menu bar.
We have also uploaded some images that represent a feeling that Prof Rothmann is trying to create with this website (feeling1.jpg and feeling2.jpg).
We need the layout to contain a logo with the name "Ian Rothmann" displaying.
