Vector Design Brief

Our small start-up design studio is creating a new interactive ebook for multiple platforms using the story of an established children's book author.

The story is about a young boy who helps a tiger fulfill his ultimate wish of riding on the zoo train. There are five required characters, each needs to be designed as vector images, with separate body / face components so that they can be treated like "paper dolls" (so-to-speak) so that our programmer can move and animate them throughout the book. Full credit will be given to the artist in the finished product. The characters include:

The Boy - Clever, inquisitive, an artist, adventurous, observant, quiet. Very polite and we'll mannered, with an old fashioned sensibility to him.

The Tiger - Dreamer, observant and adventurous, unbridled and a bit rough around the edges, a natural born tiger.

The Zoo Train Conductor - a rule follower, appreciates order, yet reasonable and empathetic to the plight of the boy and the tiger... Rewards good behavior.

A young girl, a zoo patron - A red haired, freckle faced girl, with pretzels, she captures the idea of a "willing suspension of disbelief"

An adult female zoo patron - grossly overweight, about to faint from fright, from shock, in a dress...

In our imaginations, we see the characters like they were dropped out of a Wes Anderson film...
