Graphic Design Brief

I need an updated illustration that doesn't look as angular and "old". It is an electrician leaning on a lightning bolt. I need it to have a similar feel as this illustration, but be more updated looking. It needs to have a vintage feel, but not look old and dated. This is going to be for an electrician in an expensive part of the country, so I don't want it to look like a discount electrician.
