Logo Design Brief

Develop an overarching brand logo for our new company that provides packs of edible gel (97% water) for keeping animals hydrated. We have an existing logo design that has a profile of a dog, but we seek a contemporary new design that is not tied to any specific breed of animal or market. Our target markets and audiences are broad and we may be best served by market-specific product logos in the future, but for now we need a single brand logo.

Our initial product will be called HydraGo™ which will be available plain, and in chicken and beef flavors.

Our primary competitors, include: Napa Nectar from SE Labs http://www.selabgroup.net/napa-nectar.html and Hydrogel from ClearH2O https://www.clearh2o.com/.

We have uploaded a copy of our existing logo for reference, but we are NOT looking to simply replicate this without the dog profile. We have no established corporate colors yet, but incorporating blue (for water) makes sense. Our website is www.gelhydration.com.

Target Market(s)

Potential markets (in order of our priority to enter) include:
1. Research animals (primarily for the shipment of mice and rats). Large potential customers include The Jackson Laboratory, Charles River Laboratories, Taconic Biosciences, Envigo, etc.
2. Working dogs, including police, military, search & rescue, border control, bomb and drug detection, herding, therapy, etc.
3. Service dogs for persons with PTSD, autism, diabetes and vision, hearing, mobility, seizures and psychiatric conditions. Potential customers include training and placement organizations as well as individual owners.
4. Companion dogs, including show dogs and pets. Potential customers include training facilities, animal shelters, rescue organizations, emergency response organizations, and individual owners.
5. Agricultural animals, including chickens and other small animals in production facilities and during shipment.
