Logo Design Brief

I'm looking for a logo for my photography business - Little Moon Photography. I will be doing maternity, birth, motherhood and family photography mainly but I will also offer real estate and event (birthday, engagement parties etc) photography as well. With that in mind the logo can't be specifically targeted to families / mothers. I want something that looks welcoming. Nothing severe. It should 'stand out' but not have bold colours or fonts. The word 'whimsical' comes to mind. I'm open to the idea of an actual moon being worked into the logo but it shouldn't be too 'corny'. Prefer curved texts to straight edge but these can sometimes be difficult to read. Something different from the norm preferred. Colours I'm open to most as long as they're not too dark / bold.
