Illustration Design Brief

IVY & MASON is an on-line retail brand specialising in melamine and acrylic tableware for indoor and outdoor dining. Alfresco, poolside, garden and terrace settings for family and friends or special occasions.

We require a decal pattern designed for a 9" side plate. The pattern is the main design feature of the tableware set and can totally or partially cover the facing (food) side of the plate. The underside should be a single pantone colour from the pattern palate. The plate will form part of a three piece setting along side an 11" dinner plate and 8" bowl. Both the dinner plate and bowl will be single colour facing and underside.

Manufacturers production process will allow for graduated or solid colours. Pantone codes required.

Target Audience: On-line shopper. Purchase decision highly influenced by visual appeal in photography.
North American market - California, Hamptons, Miami, Florida. Female 40+ middle class, college educated. Closely follows fashion and homewares trends. Early adopter. Shops at Williams Sonoma & Nordstrom. Follows Martha Stewart; Joanna Gaines; House and Garden.

• Strong photographic reproduction.
• 9" round full colour decal pattern (full or partial coverage facing (food) side of plate
• Summer colour palate
• Supply Pantone colour codes for digital format.
• Minimum of ai and jpg formats. A variety of formats is preferable to maximise reproduction opportunities. e.g. inclusion of pattern on packaging box.

Should not have

• Style: Geometric; Asian; Black & White or strobing designs
