Logo Design Brief

Need a logo for use on school spirit wear and stationary to be used by the parent-teacher association. This is an elementary school for kindergarten through 6th grade. School colors are navy blue and gold. The mascot is the hornet. The school also is known for its science and math curriculum as well as its outdoor organic garden program.

Requirements

Must have

• Must include the following text: Hollin Meadows Elementary School. Must be family friendly and appropriate for a school environment. The colors must incorporate navy blue and/or gold.

Nice to have

• Would be great to incorporate an abstracted image of a hornet (the school mascot). A reference to nature or flowers or gardens would also be great, but not required.
• If the hornet portion of the illustration could have the stinger referencing a pencil or writing instrument, that could be a good visual connection to the idea of a school. Some inspirational ideas for the hornet image are attached.

Should not have

• No clip art of the typical angry hornet that is found all over the internet.
