Logo Design Brief

The scope of this project is to create a logo and business card design for an insurance brokerage. It’s a commercial brokerage, offering high risk coverage through Lloyds of London. My contact has been a partner in a family business and is rebranding and opening a new group. 2 brothers, Father died, family is splitting the business.

The turn-around time to produce the first round design comps (up to 8 versions) is about 7 days. I’ve listed short overview below. If this is something you’re interested in, please let me know what additional information you might need from me.

COMPANY NAME: Sextant Risk LLC.

COMPANY OVERVIEW: The company insures trucking companies, high business risks— moving large items, etc.

COLOR PALATE: Navy Blue, Gold, White

INSPIRING DESIGN ELEMENTS: Brass Sextant (for nautical navigation), London, British Design style is preferred. Logo should communicate; Navigating Risk, Horizon to the stars. Design should look conservative, but not stuffy, well established and appeal to E-Level executives who seek to cover large risks with expensive insurance. The logo should convey that the brokerage is forward thinking, yet gives a historical nod to the past. They want to appear forward thinking; yet respect the past. The client loves the design of this cigar box and wants to use it as the inspiration for his logo. Incorporating design elements of a sextant would be great if possible.
