Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for my company Old City Industrial. We recently relocated to Israel from Los Angeles. We buy, sell and appraise industrial machinery & equipment. Our markets are primarily Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Our name is taken from using The Old City in Jerusalem. We like clean, crisp, bold, contemporary and modern design. The final design must use both orange and grey as primary colors and black as an accent in the logo. The layout of the logo can also be on the left with the type following on the right. If possible, we would like to use some type of detail that focuses on industrial equipment such as a gear, etc. Some of our largest competitors are the following companies and we respect their business and like their logos as well. United Asset Sales, Machinery Resources International, MRI Auctions, Industrial Assets, Inc., IA Machinery, Bid-it-Up Auctions, Rouse Services, Great American Group, Rabin Worldwide, Reich Bros.

Our market is strictly B2B. Our customers and clients are manufacturers, processors, construction contractors, trucking companies, attorney's, accountants, bankers, consultants, etc.

Requirements

Must have

• My project must be clean, bold, crisp, contemporary and modern. It must have orange and grey as the primary colors with black as an accent color only if needed. The logo should be on the left with the type following on the right. I like landscape layouts and not portrait designs.

Nice to have

• I would like it to have some type of industrial feature like a gear, etc. If possible, we would like to have the following words associated with the logo, potentially underneath it; "Auctions, Liquidations, Appraisals, Capital". Other companies we respect and logos we like are: United Asset Sales, Industrial Assets Inc., IA Machinery, Bid-it-Up Worldwide, Prestige Equipment, Machinery Resources International, MRI Auctions, Rabin Worldwide, Reich Bros.

Should not have

• Must not be too busy. Not too many curved lines. No colors but orange, grey and black if needed. Not too much small intricate detail as this will have to get reproduced in many formats over time.
