Hi Pavo:

We would prefer the photoshop/illustrator files of the images, if possible. That allows us to save the imagery in different ways, and integrate the design into other materials.

Hello, thank you for the response, sorry I didn't join. I have done it half and lost my confidence

Hello everyone,

We just wanted to send a few updates to all designers.

(1) Designers noted to us that ranking designs less than 5 stars has a negative impact on your designer score. Given that, we have removed all designer rankings, except for the 5 star rankings. We will provide feedback, and only rate a design once we want to give it 5 stars. We hope this is designer friendly. If you would prefer star ratings of less than 5 stars, to help guide design, then let us know.

(2) Deadline extended to April 15th

(3) We are a research team of 5 people (Jake, Emily, Taisia, Liz, and Sean). We try to note who is leaving feedback, so you know which team member you are interacting with. Also, you might get feedback from multiple team members. We always look at all your designs, and prior feedback, before commenting.

(4) Such amazing designs being submitted! You are blowing us away!

Jake

Hello,

We have awarded the top four designs. Julia Gnedina submitted a series of illustrations depicting a young woman examining different parts of her body; the style and execution just blew us away. Her design almost told a story. Yas90 had a stunning visual layout that spoke to us, and she paired that with an amazingly efficient design that included visual depictions of multiple parts of the body. It was just the style we were looking for. ArtTank delivered a straightforward design packed with information. It immediately spoke to multiple members of our research team ("that's what we are looking for!") and comes across as very patient friendly. Six6 gave us a medical illustration grade illustration set that still was grounded in features. We just kept coming back to her images which are striking on a number of fronts.

So, congrats to all four!

But we aren't done yet. Not even close. There are another 20 designs that we really like! It was nearly impossible to choose a top four. There was more like a top 25. We are currently working with Designcrowd to purchase all of them. So, look for another message from us soon! :)

If we purchase your design, then please upload photoshop or illustrator files (or the equivalent editable files) for all of the pieces you submitted. We like to have the original editable files as we sometimes use all or part of a design. We also sometimes use the early submissions in conference/poster presentations or to create materials showing how illustrations comes to be. So, even your early drafts are of interest to us.

Look for another post shortly announcing 20+ more winners.

Hello again,

Just providing another update.

We have now awarded 1st - 10th place. A tech at Designcrowd (Jeremiah) is working to allow us to award 11th - 24th place. We have to do each one manually as the system only allows 10 winners (by default). Jeremiah should have those in place shortly. When he does, the system will notify you.

After that, I will hand out participation payments too.

So, more $$ to come.

Also, we are about to post another project. This will be a very quick project. More to come on that front too.
