Logo Design Brief

Hi,

We are a coalition of 7 nonprofit groups that all work on democracy and political reform from a nonpartisan/bipartisan angle. We are coming together to launch a project called "Renew the Republic" that is united for bipartisan solutions to fix our broken political system.

The challenge is to have a logo that is patriotic and evocative of America, with a certain air of dignity and officialness, yet is active and modern. Because 7 groups have varying standards, it can be hard to create something fresh but not too edgy. It would be nice for the text to be big enough that it can be seen clearly in a variety of contexts (fits in a circle for social, readable as a badge on a website etc), and also have a unique logo element paired with the text that can stand on its own if need be.
