I need to have a logo created for a project to celebrate Colorado's 150th anniversary in 2026. The logo should reflect Colorado's outdoor mindset as the project will focus on the open spaces, public lands and conservation areas throughout the state—from the plains to the mountains. This will be a photographic project to document the open spaces, including the wildlife that lives in the areas (see attached for some of these animals), throughout the state, especially focusing on the reasons people moved to Colorado 150 years ago, how many of those reasons are the same today, and the conservation issues that have developed because of population growth. The logo could include or incorporate the Colorado state flag graphic and/or the Welcome to Colorful Colorado sign that greets drivers on the major roadways into Colorado (see attached). I will need a vector version in full color with a transparent background. The logo must say "Colorado at 150" but it could also include 1876—2026. Colorado as a state has a new logo this year. NOTE: This project is currently not funded or supported by the State of Colorado or Visit Colorado. This is an independent project. There should be no confusion in the logo design to misrepresent that this project is affiliated with the State of Colorado or Visit Colorado.
Target Market(s)
The logo will initially be used to obtain partners and sponsors for the project. The logo will be used throughout the life of the project, up through and beyond the launch of two books, a tv series and educational program, all to launch in 2026. The life cycle of the project will include a market of individuals visiting Colorado looking for information about the state's outdoor recreation areas. Secondary market includes those interested in the conservation issues facing Colorado.

- Bright colors, outdoor/nature oriented feel, and modern design. Logo must work in all forms of media (print, web, television). There must be a tie-in to the iconic imagery associated with Colorado — trees, mountains, wildlife, Colorado C (flag), and/or Welcome to Colorado road sign. Images have been provided of these elements. Do not use any outdated elements, such as ribbons, banners, gold, etc.
