Logo Design Brief

I need a logo with tagline for an organization focused on nonviolent solutions to major global issues, especially climate change. I am not sure if I want the full name, Facing Global Emergency, or just the acronym, FGE. I definitely want an image (not just the letters), but not anything too obvious, like a globe, a red cross, or a firetruck. The tagline is: The problem is violence. The solution is nonviolence.
