Logo Design Brief

I’m currently looking for a new logo design for my website, GloboLoko.com, a global online travel guide that showcases local Travel Stories and independent Recommendations of activities, accomodations and places to visit. The current logo looks a bit too cold and formal, what I have in mind is a logo that conveys a warm and playful feeling (associated with travelling), while also communicating independence (associated with the independent recommendations). I would also like the logo to be colourful and to have real personality (maybe in the form of a character or animal). A bit more about the website: Our mission is to be the gateway to local travel insights and experiences for the global travel community. Our core values are diversity and independence and our main competitors are Lonely Planet and Tripadvisor.
