Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for a consulting firm located near Kenora, Ontario Canada. We provide advisory services and funding for new / start-up entrepreneurial companies, as well as business and IT advisory services for more mature/existing companies that have requirements to change/improve/grow etc. The inspiration for the company name doesn't have much to do with the business :)... "Clearwater" is the name of a lake where I often vacation and find my inspiration, but I thought it still was a good brand/persona to have in the small business consulting industry. Kind of a "pure / clear" approach to offering clients advice and guidance.
An abstract painting of my favorite view of the lake is attached. The new logo doesn't have to resemble this picture... although it might offer idea(s) that could ? I'd be interested in seeing suggestions/ideas of both approaches.
