Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for my hotel company called Fabric Hotels. The name Fabric Hotels was chosen because the word, and material, "fabric" is as old as people have been around. Fabric is something that is made from another thing...taking strands of some raw material or fibers, that are woven together to create a new material: Fabric. This new material, fabric, is then used for things such as protection from the rain, wind, sun, or other threats or elements. It can be bright colors and pleasing to look at. It can be used to support things or people, such as a hammock. Fabric is used to make clothing, for both practical and fashionable reasons. The main point of Fabric Hotels will be that they are the same as a fabric is made...the local community in which the hotel resides will own the hotel, having had the local people (the "fibers") "woven together" like a fabric to create a new thing that is strong, resilient, durable, colorful, fashionable and serves a higher purpose by joining together. I am looking for a logo that captures and depicts this "weaving together of the local community" to own and operate the hotels.

• I have added a couple photos of my unskilled handiwork and stick figures ;) Hopefully this gives an idea of something like I'm after. Something that depicts "people", "community" and "fabric". Example #1 has the name "woven" into a piece of fabric, and Example #2 has four members of the community supporting a hotel on a piece of fabric, all working together. Hope this helps!
