Flyer Design Brief

Hello All,

I need two A4 flyers designed for my business.

We import UK food & drink for the hungry bellies of UK expats that live all over Australia.

We have recently launched an ‘On Demand’ service which allows our customers (both retail & commercial) access to a greater range of ambient UK grocery products than you would normally find in an ‘expat Brit Shop’.

To give you an idea of the business, please refer to our website www.gawdblimey.com. As you can see the look & feel is extremely personable, cheeky & fun.

Both flyers will be largely the same design:

What they must include (but not limited to):
Images of UK ambient grocery products (e.g. PG Tips, Yorkshire Tea, Bisto, IRN BRU, Biscuits, Chocolates, Ambrosia Custard, Ambrosia Creamed Rice, Vimto Cordial Bottles, Sanex Deodorant, Sanex Shower Gel, Germolene, TCP, Pot Noodle).

Exaggerated images of British Places / Icons that would fit well with the flyer (refer to images from our website as an example).
The look & feel to the flyers is extremely important, our business depends largely on the impulse buy & nostalgia response, so try and capture that within your design.

The differences between the two designs:

Flyer 1 - Will be posted & emailed predominately to independent supermarkets within areas with large populations of UK expats.

The flyer should reflect the above points, but it must also have a professional business component to it (so don’t go too mad with the cheekiness). This flyer must also have room enough for a set of text (probably bullet points), so that I can put down some key points why they should use our ‘On Demand’ service. I’d suggest entering some ‘sample text’ in your design so I can get an idea of where best to put the actual text. It *must* also have in the design the following words:

‘...Purchase your tailor-made orders from just $3,000’

The words ‘Free Delivery!’ - This has to be within a bold gold/yellow explosion shape (look at Microsoft word – Shapes – Stars & Banners – Explosion) in the bottom right hand corner of your design.

Flyer 2 – Will be emailed to our existing customer base to advertise the benefits of our ‘On Demand’ service – so here you can go & express your creativity a lot more (Think of the TV show “Only Fools & Horses”).

It must have the words ‘...Purchase your tailor-made orders from just $250’.

The words ‘Free Delivery!’ - This has to be within a bold gold/yellow explosion shape (look at Microsoft word – Shapes – Stars & Banners – Explosion) in the bottom right hand corner of your design.

I’ve attached a copy of a advert that was designed for me about 18 months ago, to give you a rough idea of what I’m looking for.
