Logo Design Brief
Moi Aussi, a Swiss charitable association, was founded to encourage inclusion of people with Down Syndrome in all aspects of society. Since 2017, we have held multiple photograph exhibitions and events across Switzerland, sponsored by cities which include Lausanne, Geneva, Sion, Baden, Fribourg and Bern. In addition to a hugely warm public reaction to our many events, we have reached an estimated footfall of over 50,000 people and our social media content has reached in excess of 250,000 people. And following from significant positive feedback, we are now broadening the scope of our projects to include all disabilities, with an objective of encouraging as much diversity as possible within our society.
Following an event we held in Bern in 2018 where we debuted a song about inclusion called Moi Aussi, written by Eoghan O’Sullivan, a Swiss-based singer/song-writer, we were astonished at the level of enthusiasm from the small number of primary school teachers who chanced upon the song. Those teachers who decided to use the song in class found it to be a very effective and emotive medium of exploring the concept of inclusion with their students. Consequently, and based on their feedback, we have set an objective to develop awareness of and distribute the song, free of charge, to all schools to help teach about diversity and inclusion. We now plan to create all the supporting materials that schools may need – the sheet-music, a vocal version of the song and an instrumental version of the song. And while this first phase of encouraging inclusion with a French song will be focused on schools in Switzerland and France, our longer-term goal is to expand this project’s geographic footprint by enabling the Teaching of Diversity and Inclusion Through Music.
