Logo Design Brief

We are developing a property that will eventually become a combination pick-your-own fruit orchard, wedding venue and Airbnb — and we need a logo to promote our forthcoming business! Our property is situated at the foot of an inactive volcano, so we want that somehow incorporated.

Background: Mountain Path Meadows is a forthcoming business venture located in South Australia on a 10+ acre property at the foot of an inactive volcano. Located adjacent to a popular scenic walk up Mount Schank, and featuring a one-of-a-kind basalt stone cottage from 1866, the property is well-suited for a business opportunities to complement and capitalise on existing traffic. Long term, we plan to launch three businesses on the property: a rustic wedding venue, a pick-your-own fruit orchard, and short-term accommodations (caravan/camping spaces, as well as renovating the historic cottage to house guests). Mountain Path Meadows will grow in stages, with the wedding and events venue business launching first in mid-2021, and the other business ventures to follow.
Objectives of this project:
• Creation of logo for Mountain Path Meadows that builds instant brand recognition for all of our businesses (wedding venue, fruit orchard, and Airbnb stays).
• Logo design should suit its usage in all future marketing and communications materials - physical signage onsite, website, social media, print promotional materials, etc.
• Logo may be reproduced in the future via stencil / spray paint - so the design should be simplistic enough to suit this (for example, there should NOT be lots of detail in the illustration)

Requirements

Must have

• Look and feel:
  NOTE: Please see hand drawn sketch we've uploaded as an example of the style and layout we have in mind.
  • Overall: We have in mind a circular emblem
  • Text: The only copy we want included is the name of the business, Mountain Path Meadows
  • Illustration: We need to include some sort of illustration (for example, a simple line drawing) to represent the property and the name of our business. Key elements include: Mount Schank volcano (which our property is at the base of - NOTE this is a crater shape -- see attached photos of the property), the stone cottage on the property (again, this could simply be an outline of a home), and something to represent the natural, outdoor feel of the property (trees, meadow with a path through it, etc?)
  • Minimal: Clean and simple aesthetic that renders well when reproduced in a variety of mediums.

Nice to have

• Colour preferences: Olive green, woodland grey, black, white. We are open to other uses of colour (for example, yellow for the sun in the illustration portion)

Should not have

• It cannot be too detailed, as we will reproduce it in other formats (for example, we may create a stencil that is used to spray paint the logo).
