Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for my woodworking business. I build custom furniture and housewares. I don't want any tools or saw blades in the design. This motif is used by nearly everyone in the business. I would also like to incorporate something geared to New Jersey in my business identity, since my name bears our nickname. I'd like the logo to be a mix of a greyish blue, yellow, grey, and black. If it's possible, I'd like to portray a sense of simplicity and elegance as the furniture and housewares I create are both high end and custom. This will ultimately be used for business cards and on my website. Thank you for all your help!
