Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for my company MN Solutions. I am a one man company and do various things like programming, consulting but also providing technical support for gas detection systems. As you can see I don't have a clear direction yet for where I would like to grow my company.
The design should communicate professionalism and expertiese. My color preferences are black and blue but I am open to suggestions.
