Logo Design Brief

I'd like a logo design to be used for branding including embroidered shirts for a high end beachfront home community located in Costa Rica. The clientele will be affluent people and they will be purchasing $10-15 million properties in the area. Guacamaya Beach will be the brand name of the investment group that is executing the project. The logo should include the text "Guacamaya Beach Club"
I am wanting an elegant design which that an affluent person would want to wear on their $100+ embroidered camp shirt or polo shirt. The embroidery would likely be a tonal embroidery, where the thread color either matches the shirt fabric color, or would be a close match to it (for example, a dark gray embroidery thread on a black shirt). the embroidery would need to be somewhat subtle, but still stand out as the brand identity. My desire is also to have a full color logo that can be use for print material etc, but easily switch to the single color for tonal embroidery.

My client likes the idea of either a tree or a boat in the logo. The boat can be a small but classy looking fishing boat, and the tree can be either a palm /coconut tree or a Guanacaste tree. (You can Google "Guanacaste tree" images)
