Logo Design Brief

I'm looking for a logo for my small company. I'm selling as a independet sales rep natural pet food and supplements for a medium sized company in Germany. Pet food is mainly for dogs and cats, supplements for dogs, cats and horses. My company is called head to tails (head2tails). The logo should clarify that the food and supplements are for dogs, cats and horses. Black and white logo would be ok but I think a colored logo would be better.
