Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new AAU basketball team based in Richmond, Virginia. Our colors are navy blue, white and an accent color of logo. We would like two logos created. One larger main logo for bags, signage, shooting shirts etc and one simpler coordinating version to go on uniforms.

Large Main Logo
I would like to incorporate RVA (Richmond, VA skyline) similar to attached logo inspiration. I like the idea of including a basketball/partial basketball and some sort of lighting because of the Storm name. I do not want this lighting cheesy or cartoonish. See attached inspiration.

Simpler logo for uniforms
Using Same font as larger logo and similar lighting create a corresponding logo to be put on uniforms. See attached inspiration.
