Logo Design Brief

I want a new logo. We are an Environmental company the deals in stopping water pollution. I like the Patagonia logo, without the mountain backdrop. The back drop can be a body of water, a Fish of some sort but the idea is similar to the Patagonia logo that I want to put on shirts. I have attached my current logo but I want something that looks better on tshirts and hats.
