Logo Design Brief

We are a retail store operating on a tropical island in the Caribbean. We sell a variety of grocery, pharmaceutical, convenience and novelty items. We are particularly well known for our wide selection of Jamaican food products although we are NOT in Jamaica. The shop is a neighborhood icon and our dad (who recently passed) was the face of the business. We like the idea of representing him by incorporating the image of a smiling elderly man and perhaps also a food basket stuffed with edible goodies. Nevertheless, we are open to considering other ideas too. The logo should be fun and colorful with a tropical island flare. The final design should convey that we are a fun, friendly and convenient place to shop on the island. Thank you.
