I need an e-book cover for my novel 'Camilla'. Based on a mythological character in Virgil's Aeneid, it tells the story of the warrior queen Camilla, who was a protegee of the goddess Diana and was raised in the woods. The narrative is told through the eyes of her lover, the nymph Acca. It is a feminist re-imagining of the themes of heroism, and spears and archery are both key tropes. Ultimately, however, it is a tragic love story. My own background is in academia and teaching as a Classicist, and there is a literary feel to the novel. However, there is also appeal to a feminist and queer market, who might have enjoyed novels like Ursula Le Guin's Lavinia, Madeline Miller's The Song of Achilles or Natalie Haynes' A Thousand Ships. It should also appeal to a Young Adult (16+) audience.
Target Market(s)
