Logo Design Brief

Edited to remove talk of orchids/flowers. We ended up realizing we weren't the biggest fan of that.

Hi! We are looking for a modern/contemporary logo for our tele-medicine psychiatry practice " Mindful Psychiatry ". We would like for it to be somewhat boutique/premier and convey a sense of luxe. We chose the name Mindful for the play on words... we treat your "mind" and it is "full" ... of neurotransmitters :-P and it is important to be "mindful" in what you do (ha ha! we maybe geeked out over this). Nerdiness is important to us.

We thought about using that play in the logo - MINDful Psychiatry - using different fonts or overlays to highlight the "mind" within "mindful" - but we're not graphic design artists!

My business partner does NOT want a lotus flower and isn't the biggest fan of spa/zen. We live on the Space Coast near the beach. There are springs and lakes near us as well. My initial thought was it would be "zen" - but again, don't let that constrain you.

My husband and I own our own practice - so we don't have to follow any set rules. We're a little non-traditional and it's our practice - so.... We definitely want something unique - something that will stand out and be different and ... maybe.... break the mold. We'd much rather be a trend setter than a follower.

We want a logo that can standout on its own. It'll first and foremost be on our website, but it will also be utilized on forms, business cards, and perhaps a sign if we ever decide to have a physical location as well. Whether or not you use the entire "Mindful Psychiatry" name in the logo itself is a decision I'll leave in your creative hands, but if not, it would need to look good when paired with the full name "Mindful Psychiatry".

We do not want the letters to be white or for it to be on a black background. As mentioned above, we are a telemedicine practice - we engage with patients via a platform that allows them to message and interact with staff and providers - many practices use this type of platform for patients who pay an extra fee for membership to have access to these benefits - we provide it for all of our patients and want to be a premiere boutique telemedicine practice.
