Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new law firm that services CA and NV. While the firm operates within the general 'business litigation' legal field, its primary focus is unique; the Mundell Law Firm focuses heavily on the hospitality industry (restaurants, bars, hotels, nightclubs, etc.). We would like a very modern and understated logo that we can use for our website, biz cards, etc. We are tossing around the idea of the Lady of Justice holding, not just the scales of justice in her left hand, but a defined Fork in her right (in place of the sword - example attached below). Or, in the welcomed alternative, a right handed tray martini service icon (with an olive), or bottle service icon, or a pineapple (a universal symbol of hospitality). Note the design must utilize clean/simple lines that are easily reproduced on a chiseled business card, our website, a T-shirt, etc., but remain recognizable. The idea being that the logo will be sufficient without caption (think Starbucks, Target, Nike "swoosh" - but not that globally notorious, of course, lol). An ideal logo would embrace an all-black background with clean silver outlines. If you choose to use some color highlights, we would prefer you use an inviting blue. We sincerely embrace all of your creative minds, which is why we turned to this platform. We hope this is not too much direction... it's just that this venture is our "baby" and years in the works.
