Book Cover Design Brief

Front and back book cover for “Michelle and the Sentinel Trees” for the paperback. Front cover only, the same one, for the eBook.
No text needed on the cover – I will add this later.
Dimensions ‏of the book are ‎ 6 x 0.55 x 9 inches (241 pages).

Genre is young adult fantasy.

Characters for the cover:
12 year old girl, blue eyes, white skinned. Floral mid-thigh length dress, pink ankle sock, and white sneakers.
Rainbow unicorn – the horn is rainbow coloured.
Fairy with wings - tiny knee-length blue dress with green eyes and long straight brown hair. Small enough to sit on the girl’s shoulder.
Female ogre, big and strong but still a female child. Bedraggled looking.

Scene:
The girl is the main protagonist.
Travelling party of the above characters.
Rolling meadow with a single dandelion flower about to be eaten by the unicorn.
A single prominent Kauri tree.
Fairy sitting on the girl’s shoulder.
