Logo Design Brief

I have drawn a design I would like to follow and just need help with touching up the good and the bad.

Any advice on the design and taking it further would be great.

I would like to add this to clothing as well as producing decals. And hopefully more with your help.

It is based on a surf / street wear idea my girlfriend and I had, and I would like to see it become wearable.
