I'm starting a company whose mission is to provide pathology locum coverage using digital/telepathology technology. Locum coverage is temporary coverage. Right now, if a hospital needs locum coverage, it would have to use a recruiter to find a potential pathologist. Additios include airfare, hotel accommodation, and daily allowances so the pathologist can come to that hospital to work for a week to a few months. By using digital/telepathology technology, the locum pathologist can work remotely. Instead of spending months in advance to find a locum, our company's goal is provide seamless coverage even without advance notice. This is good for patient care.
