T-shirt Design Brief

We need a fun/interesting t-shirt design to breathe some life into the appearance of our company at an upcoming trade show for mainframe software vendors. The mainframe industry isn't the most exciting space, but we're enthusiastic about our product and its benefits to users. To learn more about our product, please watch the video on our website home page: https://chicago-soft.com/

MVS/QuickRef is the ONLY reference tool available for customers in our space. Think of it as Google, but instead of searching for the answer, we populate the answer based on the error message on your screen. We save everyone a TON of time, and our biggest goal is to keep customers - not gain new ones. We've saturated our market, so we aren't trying to sell, sell, sell.

Rough ideas we have considered for a shirt design:

1. What if there’s a superhero or ninja in action, and they’re throwing/using the QW key (from the QuickRef logo) as their weapon/defense/shield against something?
2. Whack-a-mole, but instead you’re hitting error codes that pop up – and QuickRef is the name of the high score!
3. Top Gun theme of some sort, and play on “I feel the need for QuickRef {speed}”
4. Campaign poster look/feel – “QuickRef 2024.” I know politics can be a bit dicey, but it would be nice to come up with something that people on both sides of the spectrum (in the United States) could laugh at.
5. Not really a full concept, but this year is the 40th anniversary of Chicago Soft. Maybe we can turn that into something worth highlighting on a shirt?
6. Again, not a fully framed idea, but something about independence. We are one of the only software vendors in this space that has NOT changed hands or been consolidated.
7. A Dilbert-like comic strip. Three people at a conference table. The boss says "We have to cut costs!" - Second person raises their hand and says "we could cut QuickRef" - Third person looks at the second person and says "I've suddenly decided to retire, effective immediately."

At the end of the day, users love our product. The bill payers always try to pinch us on renewal pricing, but we're worth it, and we want to promote that in a funny/meaningful way.
