Logo Design Brief

Develop a logo that is modern in style for a residential develop on a river. The clientel is high income. Oxbow is the meandering part of a river caused by erosion that creates the shape of an oxbow, which is the implement that goes around and ox's neck. See images attached.
The logo can have color but must be distinctly modern in font and minimalistic. Attached a Oxbow Logo design that is not modern enough but not bad. Also, example of logo that is modern MoCuCabs that we like and was designed for us through Design Crowd
