Logo Design Brief

The tagline of my business is "Healing Inside & Out, From the Roots Up." I work with only adults, doing individual, couples, and group therapy. I have 3 main specialties: using energy healing methods to heal trauma, healing chronic pain/fatigue/other chronic health problems (not just coping with it), and blending spirituality into the therapy. I emphasize getting at the root of problems, not just talking about cognitive and behavioral changes; I do that by using many mind-body healing techniques. I am quite insightful, empathic, and intuitive, but my work is grounded in mindfulness and the latest neuroscience, especially including research on pain. I do a lot of teaching and coaching in my practice and I am just starting a new venture of offering groups for healing from chronic health problems.

I want the logo to have themes of growth (because I am a gardener and psychotherapy is quite similar to gardening in many respects). I tend to like earth tones for the color palette, and I definitely want to include green. I want it to emphasize healing on the inside (emotions) AND outside (physical body) but also with some acknowledgement or hint of involving the brain, because healing from chronic pain is all about retraining one’s brain. Key words to be thinking of when designing would be: healing, growth, emotional and physical, mind-body, holistic, brain, science, empathy, intuition, joy, resolution, flourishing, vibrant. I would like my logo to be unusual/unique.
