Logo Design Brief

I'm starting a new corporate communications consulting business, and I need a logo. The company is based on Thomas Paine, the first influencer in the U.S. His "Common Sense" helped motivate a country to seek independence, and his "America in Crisis" inspired our soldiers to victory. So I"m calling my company "Paine Communications." I'd like my logo to reflect that history while also connecting to current communications (internet, social media, mobile phones/technology) and looking modern and fresh.
