Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new nonprofit organization called Darla's Way. This nonprofit is an all volunteer animal welfare organization dedicated to saving homeless or abused dogs in the most need of rescue assistance regardless of breed, size, age, medical condition, or behavioral issues through community outreach and advocacy. We are partial to Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Stafford) dog breeds and would like a likeness (headshot neck-up at least) to be incorporated into the logo. In terms of colors, black and white works with maybe a red collar but we are open to other variations. I've attached photos of Darla, our foster dog, who is the inspiration for this nonprofit. A depiction of her would be great.
