Logo Design Brief

I need a logo that includes the name of the business - Legato Pilates - as well as the logo. I want the logo to reflect the words - movement, flow, continuity. These 3 words will associated with the company name. Legato Pilates is a home studio. It is for people wanting to improve their fitness, health and wellbeing. It will also cater to those recovering from injury or rehabilitating after surgery. The word 'Legato" is a musical term meaning to play the notes in a smooth and connected way. It is marked on a score with an arc connecting the notes to be played in this way. Visually there is a flowing movement on the page. The movements in Pilates exercises are generally smooth even movements done with breath control so there is a connection here with the musical Legato definition and the execution of Pilates exercises.

Target Market(s)

Mostly women of 50+ age group as well as people rehabilitating from injury or surgery. I want men to also feel welcome so it shouldn't be overtly feminine

Nice to have

• To have a sense of movement/flow in the logo with a connection to either or both the movement of the human body or movement through music notation

Should not have

• No primary colours. The colours should be restful
