Logo Design Brief

Group is called the "Chronic Critical Illness and Long-Term Ventilation Subgroup" (CCI-LTV). Basically, we are pediatric intensive care unit (ICU) doctors who study children and young adults with severe chronic illness (ie, they usually improve enough to get out of the hospital, but their underlying conditions do not get better). Because these kids are so fragile, they have a lot of needs and end up in the ICU a lot. Many of them use chronic medical technologies (eg, tracheostomy, home ventilators). The subject matter is obviously somber, but hope the logo can find the right balance between somber and hopeful.
