Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for our Centre for Functional Genomics (CFG) that is part of the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences at Oxford Brookes University, UK.
Functional genomics is a field of study that aims to understand the function and interactions of genes within an organism's genome. It explores how genetic information is utilized and expressed to drive biological processes and influence various traits and functions. Rather than solely focusing on the structure and sequence of genes, functional genomics investigates how genes and their products (such as RNA and proteins) work together to regulate cellular activities and contribute to the overall phenotype of an organism.
The logo could display the different things we do in the Centre - sequencing of nucleic acids, computational analysis, and molecular biological and biochemical work with cells and different organisms (fruit flies, butterflies, planarians, mice, humans). For more details, please see the CFG website: https://www.brookes.ac.uk/research/units/hls/centres/centre-for-functional-genomics/. The logo may incorporate the colour scheme of Oxford Brookes University: https://static.brookes.ac.uk/design-system/visual-identity/colours.html
